Overview

What is AutoEntry?

AutoEntry, part of Sage, is a data capture tool that automates bookkeeping data entry. Users scan, email, or photograph invoices, bills, receipts, and bank statements, and AutoEntry extracts the data, including line items, and publishes it to accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks. Machine learning assigns accounts and tax codes over time, and duplicate detection flags repeated invoices. Accounting practices, bookkeepers, and finance teams use it to cut manual entry for clients.

Integrations

AutoEntry integrations

AutoEntry publishes captured data directly to accounting platforms used by small businesses and their accountants. Supported integrations include Sage Accounting, Sage 50, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Advanced, Xero, FreeAgent, MYOB Business, Reckon One, AccountsIQ, Clear Books, and SortMyBooks. Documents arrive by scanner, email forwarding, web upload, or the mobile app, and extracted invoices, receipts, and supplier statements are posted with attached images for audit trails. Bank statements can be exported to Excel or CSV for direct upload. Users note occasional sync interruptions with some ledgers, so practices should test their accounting connection during the trial period.
